Have you ever wondered about the taste of food materials available in the markets? Food is the basic need of all human beings in the world. Tasty and healthy food is the requirement of everyone in the world today. As packaged food is available in most countries, food companies hire professionals and experts such as food technologists and quality managers to make their products the best.  

In this article we will discuss the job opportunities in food tech after 12th grade and completion of B.Tech or M.Tech, and also discuss some top colleges related to food technology education in India and abroad.

Food technology is a part of food science which deals with the processing, preservation techniques, quality checking and other essential things to design that particular product for people. If you are interested in food related studies and you can easily get into things like nutrition, food constituents, taste then you can think of choosing food technology as a career option. In the case of packaged food there is more awareness in people about the quality of that food, so there is wide scope in private as well as in government sectors for food technology students. 

After 12th you can enroll for any food technology diploma course and can also take a degree of Bsc in Food Technology or Msc in Food tech. So after completing a degree or course you can apply for jobs as technologist, product designer, quality manager and many more in government and private sectors.
